The National Marine Park of Zakynthos was established in 1999 to protect the endangered loggerhead sea turtle and other marine species such as monk seals and Mediterranean cetaceans. Visitors can enjoy boat tours, snorkeling and diving trips, and educational programs on marine conservation.
